DIRECTIONS FOR THE USE OF MB-22 POLISHING PASTE FOR MARBLE AND TERRAZZO

The following directions are an average recommendation. Different stones may require different quantities of product along with various techniques. If you are in doubt, don't hesitate to call us.

Countertops - Always make sure proper masking of the work area is utilized to protect surfaces from messy splatters by product. Wear safety glasses and gloves.

1) Make sure the surface is free of any coatings, waxes, sealers grease and or soil.

2) If the surface requires honing use quality diamonds and hone surface correctly predicated upon the clarity of the stone being worked on.

3) Using your favorite right angle grinder with a 4, 5 or 7 inch pad driver use a hogs hair pad or a quality white polishing pad.

4) Use 1 scoop of product paste.

5) Start by targeting a 2-3 sq.ft. area and place the product in the center of your target. Place your machine and hogs hair or white pad directly on top of it. Starting slowly spread the product out over the area. The use of pressure will vary depending on the stone but generally you can apply an even light pressure. Run the machine on a slow setting for about a minute or longer per sq. ft.

6) Check the results and repeat if needed (Get the pad loaded). When you are satisfied with the results move on to the next area. Working with this polish you will find that you can get good results close to edges, sinks faucets, tub surrounds and tight spaces. A white pad cut ½ inch over the diameter of the pad driver protects the fixtures or surface you are polishing against.

FLOORS - Always make sure proper masking of the work area is utilized to protect surfaces that could be splattered by product. Wear safety glasses and gloves.

1) Make sure the surface is free of any coatings, waxes, sealers grease and or soil.

2) If the surface requires honing use quality diamonds and hone surface correctly predicated upon the clarity of the stone being worked on.

3) Target an area of approximately 10-12 sq. ft. and place 2 -3 scoops of product in the center then you will place your machine with a hogs hair pad on top of it.

4) Run your ‑floor buffer over the area for approximately 3-4 minutes per 10 to 12 sq. ft. After three minutes check the results; if good you are ready to move to next area. If you want more luster run for another minute. When ready, move to next area pulling slurry with you with a squeegee and reset the timer. Then begin buffing adding some product paste as needed to make slurry a semi thick consistency and run for the prescribed time.

5) Repeat this process three times for a total of 30-36 sq. ft. and then vacuum up all the slurry and mop the area clean. Start again from instruction number 3. No need to protect the splatters from etching, if used correctly, so just keep going and have no worries.

These Directions are a base line guide to using this product as it may require slightly different techniques for different stones. If in doubt don't hesitate to contact us.
