MB-6 IS A VERY EFFECTIVE COLOR ENHANCER. ITS PROPRIETARY FORMULA PENETRATES THE PORES OF THE STONE AND MAKES IT LOOK WET (i.e. darker, not glossy). The result is permanent. It works well on tumbled marble, unfinished travertine, œsaturnia stone, unpolished limestone, sandstone, slate, flamed-finished granite, hone-finished marble and granite, etc. Unlike some other competing products, MB-6 is not sensitive to most common acidic substances.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Make sure that the surface of the stone is thoroughly cleaned and free of any debris, or residues of setting materials. Apply it liberally with a brush or a clean white rag. Always wear rubber gloves. Let the product dwell on the surface of the stone approximately 10 minutes for maximum penetration. Thoroughly remove the excess from the surface using a clean rag before it has a chance to dry. (Product may dry faster on some stones. Do not let the product dry before removing the excess.) Two applications are always advisable with at least one hour between applications. With certain very porous stones, additional applications may be necessary.
COVERAGE: One pint (.473 ml) covers approximately 25 to 120 sq. ft. each application, depending on the absorbency/porosity of the stone.
NOTE: In the case of very porous stones, the sealing ability of MB-6 may not be sufficient protection and will need to be aided by applying our regular impregnating sealer, MB-24 Barrier Impregnator/Sealer. The color enhancer must be applied before the sealer (at least 24 hours, for proper curing time).
