MB-9 Mold & Mildew Remover now comes in a thicker gel-like solution that makes it even easier to clean mold and mildew from all natural stone surfaces. The solution is the same formulation of the original MB-9 Mold & Mildew Remover our customers have come to know and trust. The gel-like formula allows for excellent surface contact by clinging to and penetrating the stains on contact, and makes it easier to clean vertical stone, tile, and grout surfaces.
Now you can get a value pack that includes one of each size! Save time and money when you use your ready to use MB-9 Mold & Mildew Remover gallon to refill your MB-9 Mold & Mildew Remover spray bottle. It’s that easy!
Regular use (every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on level of use) will keep surfaces clean. It is safe on most natural marble surfaces. Be certain to test product first on a spare tile or inconspicuous area for extra caution before use.
How to Use MB-9 Mold & Mildew Remover
Step 1: Test the Surface First
Before treating the entire area, apply MB-9 to a small, inconspicuous location to verify compatibility with the surface.
While MB-9 is designed for use on most natural stone surfaces, testing first is always considered best practice in professional stone care.
Step 2: Prepare the Work Area
Remove loose debris, dust, or standing water from the surface before application.
Ensure the area is adequately ventilated, especially when working in enclosed spaces such as showers, bathrooms, locker rooms, or utility rooms.
Step 3: Apply MB-9 Generously
Spray MB-9 directly onto the affected area, fully saturating the mold or mildew staining.
The gel-like formula is designed to cling to vertical surfaces, allowing the product to remain in contact with stains longer for improved cleaning performance.
Step 4: Allow the Product to Work
Let MB-9 dwell on the surface while it breaks down mold and mildew staining.
In many cases, stains begin to disappear within minutes of application.
Do not allow the product to dry on the surface during this process.
Step 5: Monitor the Cleaning Process
Observe the affected area as the product works.
Heavier biological staining may require additional dwell time or a second application depending on the severity of contamination.
Step 6: Agitate Stubborn Areas if Necessary
For older, deeply embedded, or heavily stained areas, gently agitate the surface using a soft nylon brush.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing methods that could damage sensitive stone finishes.
Step 7: Rinse Thoroughly
Once the staining has been removed, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water.
Proper rinsing removes residual cleaner and helps ensure a clean, sanitary surface.
Step 8: Repeat if Needed
Severe mold or mildew accumulation may require multiple treatments.
Reapply MB-9 and repeat the cleaning process until the desired result is achieved.
Step 9: Special Instructions for Food-Contact Surfaces
If MB-9 is used on countertops, food preparation areas, or any surface that may come into contact with food, rinse thoroughly at least twice after cleaning.
Step 10: Allow the Surface to Dry
After rinsing, allow the surface to air dry or wipe it dry with a clean microfiber towel.
Inspect the treated area to verify complete stain removal.
Step 11: Establish a Preventive Maintenance Program
In moisture-prone environments, regular maintenance can help minimize future mold and mildew growth.
For showers, bathrooms, spas, and similar areas, many professionals recommend cleaning every 2 to 4 weeks depending on usage levels and humidity conditions.

Key Features & Capabilities
Removes Mold & Mildew Without Heavy Scrubbing
MB-9 begins working on contact to break down mold and mildew stains, reducing the need for aggressive scrubbing that can damage delicate stone surfaces.
Safe for Natural Stone Surfaces
Unlike many common household cleaners, MB-9 is specifically formulated for use on most natural stones, including marble, granite, limestone, travertine, and other sensitive materials. Always perform a test in an inconspicuous area before full application.
Advanced Gel Formula
The thicker gel-like consistency allows the product to cling to vertical surfaces instead of immediately running off. This extended contact time improves cleaning effectiveness on shower walls, grout joints, backsplashes, and other upright surfaces.
Eliminates Odors at the Source
In addition to removing visible staining, MB-9 helps eliminate the odors commonly associated with mold and mildew growth, leaving treated surfaces cleaner and fresher.
Ideal for Stone, Tile & Grout
MB-9 can be used on a wide range of hard surfaces, including:
- Natural stone
- Tile
- Grout
- Shower surrounds
- Bathroom surfaces
- Exterior stone installations
Fast-Acting Cleaning Performance
Visible mold and mildew stains often begin to disappear within minutes of application, making MB-9 an efficient solution for both maintenance and restoration projects.
Excellent for Vertical Applications

Ready-to-Use Formula
No mixing or dilution is required. Simply apply directly from the bottle, allow the product to work, and rinse thoroughly.
Supports Preventive Maintenance Programs
