How to Use MB-9 on the Job
Preparation
Remove loose soil with a quick rinse and verify stone identification. Ventilate the area and wear appropriate eye/skin protection as outlined in the SDS. Keep the surface dry prior to application to maximize gel contact.
Application
Transfer MB-9 into a chemical-resistant trigger sprayer. Hold the nozzle 6–8 inches from the surface and apply a liberal, even coat. On ceilings or soffits, a low-pressure pump-up sprayer works well.
Dwell & Observation
Watch the stain fade—most light mildew disappears in 2–5 minutes. For heavy, aged colonies allow up to 10 minutes but do not let the gel dry; re-mist as needed. Light agitation with a soft nylon brush accelerates penetration on porous grout.
Rinse & Inspection
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water. For food-contact areas, a second rinse is mandatory. Inspect under LED lighting; re-treat only the pockets that remain stained—saving product and labor.

FAQs
Will MB-9 dull a high-polish marble shower?
No. MB-9 is non-acidic and specifically formulated for calcium-carbonate stones. Always perform a spot test, but thousands of restorers use it weekly with no loss of gloss.
Can I run it through my proportioning sprayer?
Because it is a ready-to-use gel, pumping through venturi proportioners is not recommended. Decant into trigger or pump-up sprayers for best viscosity.
Does it kill mold or just bleach the stain?
The sodium hypochlorite oxidizes cell walls on contact, so it both eliminates the colony and removes the visible residue, leaving a sanitary surface.
What about silicone caulk joints?
MB-9 clings to vertical silicone seams, but if mold has penetrated beneath clear caulk, mechanical removal and re-caulking may be required after treatment.
